Thursday Question...

Okay - I'm back on track today. So, let's talk about going to the EXTREME!!!! What is one thing...once you reach your goal...that you want to do...that would be considered...Going to the Extreme.  Let's make this one really fun and exciting!!!! I think I would probably try sky diving.  I would like to go down in one of those cages and do a shark encounter.  I would like to go on a safari.  I would love to go live in the UK. So, even if these things aren't something that we might get to eventually do, let's not think about that side of it...just list it without thinking of that side of it. Tonja

wow, sounds extreme to me.. I am not the extreme kinda girl. but I would like to fly or take a cruise. which is something i plan to do after surgery.

My cruise this next summer is my first extreme thing I will be doing (even though I didn't list it).  I've always had a phobia of going under water - which I've been working on over coming (which is actually kind of funny to watch while I'm trying). T

Oh trust me when I say, I WILL be diving with the Great White Shark next fall.  It's one of those wishes of a lifetime and I almost went this fall, topside. There is no way I could fit into a wet suit right now.  But, last fall I got to see a live one in an aquarium, so the next thing will be to be in the water with one. I am torn between the dives in the Farallons (cold water, murky water, one day, BIG sharks) and Guadalupe-(warm water, clear water, multiple days lots of sharks but smaller.)

No diving with sharks here.. your either brave or crazy... i am leaning more towards crazy for ya...lol...jk ....................

I'm with Sherrie - no shark diving here.  I had  a close enough encounter while snorkeling even though the shark was harmless.  I haven't really thought that far in advance but one of the things that I would love to do is go to Alaska for two weeks with my husband.  We have been married for 11 years and haven't had a big vacation ever.  My extra weight keeps us from doing a lot of things that seem fun.  I have been to two different seminars and trying to decide which way to go.  I have attended the seminar at Baptist Hospital and the one at Foundations Bariatric Hospital in Edmond.  What I have found out is that I will have to pay for the surgery myself due to being a State Employee and our wonderful employer would rather pay for all of the diseases associated with obesity than to pay for a surgery that could eliminate the future problems.  They will not allow any insurance carrier that State employees have to choose from to offer the weight loss surgeries of any kind.  Ok, I'm off my soap box.  Any way I'm looking to have the lap band surgery either before the end of the year or right after the first of the year.  If any of you have any info on either one of these WLS Centers and what to expect prior to WLS and right after WLS I would love to talk to you.  I don't get to this site very often so if you could email me at [email protected] and put lap band in the subject line and will not spam you.  Best wishes and prayers for all of you who have surgery dates or recovering.

welllll i dont think this is extreme but i  told my brother , who is my biggest supporter , that i wanted to save up to go on a trip next summer to the beach , i wont be sportin a bikini , but i do expect to look better and feel like being more adventurous......i think i want to go to Cabo,,, but really the excitement is thinking about the person i could be by then and what crazy wild things i might want to do!!!

I wanna go to cabo too-I love Mexico! I've actually spent a lot of time researching and dreaming about the shark thing-some people sky dive, some people swim with da fishes.
