My new sump'un sump'un...

I'm teaching myself how to play the drums.  Well, at least the snare drum.  I've wanted to learn for years and now I realize it is time I learn.  With my husband being a piper - and my girls wanting to learn how to play the pipes - I need to be the drummer.  So, that's what I'm going to do. My hubby brought me home drum sticks and a practice pad tonight - so I'm off and going now! Tonja

My youngest son was in band for 4 years. He played the snare.  We got him a complete drum set for his 9th birthday.  There is nothing as wonderful as a kid slamming sticks on a drum.  Good thing I had great neighbors. A practice pad is great and quite.  There are some great free tutorials online.  They mostly start with paradiddles.  Hope you enjoy learning to play.

Rock on Tonja.  I'm still looking for my instrument.  LOL.  Also, that's probably good for the arms-that's my theory when I bought my punching bag this weekend. My Mom almost died-but I have no interest in boxing in  gymy or in any sport that involves being hit or falling down-BUT, I've always wanted a bag.  And I thought-why not take the parts I like and leave the rest?  Of course, I sprained my back to so now the bag has to wait-but I'm looking forward to it soon!

That is really cool way to go Hey looked at your new pics. Is the tatto ring a wedding band? My husband has his wedding Band tattoed on his finger. He work Heavy constuction for AEP and can't wear a wedding band so he had it tattoed very cool I love it I told him one thing about it he can't slip it in his pocket when he goes to the bar with the guys LOL which he never does go to the bar I was just joking him.

My hubby and I had the tat's done for our 9 year anniversary (which is actually next month).  They are identical - and we love the celtic look. t
