Starting the journey

Sorry it has been so long since I have been on, I've been so busy, and a little bit down as well. I am gaining back some of the 22 pounds I lost. grrr. Anyway, I go to my new PCP tomorrow at 1:45 and I am nervous about seeing him. However this does put me on my journey. I had to do a sleep study last Friday night for my psychiatrist, so hopefully that one will count for the one I have to do prior to surgery.

Congrats on starting your journey.  This is an exciting time for you, as well as a way for you to get a headstart on your WLS. Hang in there and come to us for support.  If you can find a local group, I encourage you to attend those, too. Cathy

I'm thinking of this as a new leg in my ongoing journey.  I've heard that when you shed weight you also shed "shields" and will have to face things about yourself.  OK, I haven't only heard it-who here hasn't lost a lot of weight before? Part of this will be very much a solo trip, but I encourage you to share as much as possible along the way.  It's kind of like a sea voyage of old, or a wagon train-we al have our parts, but we are together too.
