need help

Hi all I have a friend who is in a size 28 and we need to find her a homecoming dress. Since a lot of you live in the ok city area or other can you give us some help? Been looking on line but a lot of them have no return. Thanks for the help Debbie

Debbie, Catherine's is a dress shop for plus size gals here in OKC.  It also carries very elaborate dresses (I bought a formal dress there about five years ago).  Their prices are quite reasonable, too.  I think I paid about $80 for mine. Check with them...I'm sure she'll have something that your friend can wear for homecoming. Good luck! Cathy

Cathy Have looked on line for Catherine's. They have a appt. in okc on friday so maybe they can stop. The plan had been I was driving and then the three of us would do lunch and shopping. But her husband got the day off so he is driving them. Debbie

Is your friend in the homecoming court and needing a formal dress or are you looking for just a dress? You can go to a bridal and prom type boutique and rent formal wear.   The plus size catalogs all have nice dress wear.  There all online and can ship fast overnight and I have never had one to not accept returns.  I don't know which online places your looking at but the top names like Sillouetttes, Roamans, etc... all have great return policies. ~Dedee

Thank you for your help. This will be her first dance so she is looking for a long dress.  She is 18 and very shy so this was a surprise that she wanted to go. She said it is her senior year and she is making a senior memory book. She wants to get the surgery but her mom keeps putting off making her an appt. I told her she is now 18 and can start the process if she really wants it. Will take her to the next support group meeting with me in Lawton. Thanks Debbie
