Does anyone in the Tulsa area want to get together?

Is it just me? Am I stinky? I've tried to get a few get togethers going, but not many people seem interested. Is there anything we can do to fix this?

Sniff, Sniff...I don't smell anything!  I really don't get to the Tulsa area all that often - even though I was there this last weekend for the Scottish Games and Gathering.  I would have loved to have met up with you then. Do you ever get to the OKC area?  We could always plan a weekend luncheon or something. I hate that your plans didn't work out before - but hey - if I lived closer - I'd be there in a flash. I have noticed lately that there are more people from this part of Oklahoma on the board - rather than that direction.  Just don't give up!  AND, don't take it personally.  I felt like last night our little get together at Starbucks was a huge success and there were only three of us there.  It's not ever about the numbers. I'm just happy that you are interested in having a get together!!!  It shows your love for the cause! Tonja

Once we beef up our OKC participation, maybe we could meet up in Stroud twice a year to get EVERYONE together. Cathy

I havent had surgery yet but i would still like to get together to chat with others. i am in vinita and i get to tulsa quite often. just let me know ahead of time by a few days or so.

Oh yeah - it doesn't matter if you are pre-op/post-op or just wanting to make some new friends - you are always welcome!!! Tonja

I live near Tulsa and I would be interested in getting together. I would like to go to the OKC get togethers but it is hard being 3 hours away. (but maybe someday). Tressa

Well, it just all has to start with a date. 

Hey I just moved to Tulsa about 3 weeks ago and would love to get together and make new friends, but I am older and a grandmother,  Dr. G did my surgery 5-15-07  I would love to get back to Ok. City again for the support meetings, but it was such a long way to travel when we lived in Poteau.   We are still trying to get moved up here and out of our other home,  so maybe my life can slow down a bit and I can get more involved Sandy

Sandy,  are you saying because you are a grandma that you are too cool for us or something?  Just kidding.  You're going to fit in just dandy.  Sometimes I act 10 and sometimes I act 90 - so I figure everyone can fit in somewhere. Tonja
