OT: Wildlife Expo

Guys, This event is coming up in a couple weeks and is a blast.  If you can go, I strongly recommend it.  It's held at the Lazy E arena (between Edmond & Guthrie) and is 100% free.  Kids are encouraged to come. http://www.wildlifedepartment.com/wildlifeexpo.htm There will be a booth there teaching people how to use GPS's and geocache There will be people teaching how to kayak There will be bazillions of outdoor activities promoted I saw something about butterflies, but I don't remember what it was I've been before and will warn you that it's quite busy (imagine Wal-Mart in August), but it's also so wonderful the things you'll learn about Oklahoma and the outdoors. You'll get your exercise in that day with the walk from your car to the arena.   Anyway, if you are interested in going, reply to this and maybe we can go as a group. Cathy

I bet we will go.  We wanted to go earlier this year or last year (can't remember) and weren't able to - so I bet we will go this time.  We have some friends that have always gone and said it is a blast for the kids and adults too.  There is suppose to be all kinds of demonstrations and such. I'd like to go for the geo cache demo's and any critters-I sold my kayak.  Seems the idea of my floating by myself down a river was a little disturbing to the folks and I couldn't find a kayak group nearby.

 

I still haven't figured out geocaching...Somebody help me!!!! But it does sound like a lot of fun! Since John is a big kid anyway I won't have to rent one for the day....

You need to go to the wildlife expo and have them give you the run down on it.  Plus it will help pass some time while you are waiting for your upcoming surgery!!! Tonja

Hey man I just might be in town ( and that is getting more rare)  I'v allways wanted to go to one of these!!!!!  Hey just so yall know my wife had her Band put in yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cant wait for the weight to coome off both of us......
