Ladies and gentleman!

yesterday before I went to my support group meeting, I went into my surgeon's office to be officially weighed. As most of you know I have to lose 40 pounds before I can get my date. Yesterday it became official 48 pounds of prison gone and gone forever! I go September 21 and finsih my consult and PRAY that I get my surgery date! I am excited but calm about it. Kinda strange actually. So be prepared for next Friday when I scream I got a date!

Seems like you need to add a Ticker counting down to your "scheduled date of surgery" I'm very happy for you, Pattye.  You've been such a source of support to all of us...and now look...it will be your turn... CONGRATS! Cathy

Thank you Cathy!  I was so nervous yesterday! My pcp scales were off and I had no idea until yesterday. Forgot to mention this, on July 18 I said i would lose the 40 pounds by the 12th of September that was the goal I set for myself. I believe I made my surgeon happy by geeting it done so fast. I promise i will add a ticker on Friday, Might need Hoodo woman to talk me thru it....

I can practically hear you screaming now!  I am so freakin' excited for you.  This is awesome and you are almost there! YEAHHHHHHH!!!!  48 #'s is something to be screaming about - you should be proud of yourself.  Try going to the grocery store and pick up two 20# sacks of potatoes and see what that feels like. We went to wally world in Edmond and i picked up a fifty pound bag of dog food! I told John that is what i have gone and gone for good. Had a wow morning this morning. Grabbed my butt and realized there was less of it...Some of my cushioning is gone!

That is so awesome-you beat your own goal.  I just sent up a little prayer for your surgery date-in fact, I prayed that the surgeon would recognize your efforts and CALL YOU with a date.  Hey-it never hurts to ask.

Thank you! When I go on Friday to get my date I hope that it will be asap! I am planning on moving in mid October so any time after that would be great! My friend in Vegas says it should be halloween..no more candy....

Congrats Pattye on the weight loss. Hopefully it will not be long before you can get a date. Losing that amount of weight  is fantastic!!
