What was the last movie you saw at the theater? A friend of mine and I went to see 'Becoming Jane' and it was awesome.  It was romantic without being raunchy.  I wouldn't mind seeing it again or buying it when it comes out on DVD. So, what did you see last? Tonja

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.  I don't get to the theater too often.  I really enjoyed it-I think all the HP movies are well done and true to the books storylines.  I'd like to see Becoming Jane-that was on my list to see as well.

Hairspray. My work rented a theater at the Harkins and we were asked to do a pre-screening of the movie before it hit publicly. LOVED IT!!! John Travolta rocked in that movie.  What a joy to watch! Cathy

I liked Hairspray - but I liked the original best. I loved Harry Potter.  We saw it on IMAX and that was really cool.  I'm curious how the next two Harry Potter movies will be.  I bet they will be scary! I really want to go see 3:10 to Yuma.  I love westerns. Tonja

I would've liked the original better, too, except that Ricki Lake just rubs me the wrong way.  I'm sure it had something to do with her talk show, but anytime I see a movie with her in it...well...ick. Cathy I don't see a lot of movies.  Had this not been a work ordeal, I probably still wouldn't have seen it.  I don't know about 3:10 to Yuma... I also don't know how I can go to the movies and not eat popcorn.  Hubby wants to go now that I have this recoupe time off work, but I think the smell of popcorn will just be too much for me to handle. I just tried popcorn for the first time this weekend.  I was only able to eat a very small portion of it.  It now seems more like a waste of time for me - so I doubt that I will eat it again and save the eating for something with some good protein in it. Tonja

I can eat popcorn without a problem.  If I eat one bit (or so it seems) more than a small half kernal of whole corn, I am kinda restless in the tummy for the rest of the day.  Somehow I would have thought that the popcorn would have been a bigger problem.

I am ashamed to say that the last movie I went and saw was.....Big....I loved drive ins and when they closed the last one down I haven't stepped foot in a theater... I feel like this I can wait till they come out on pay per veiw and be comfy on the couch and enjoy...plus if I want to see it again...well I have it for 24 hours. There is nothing like watching Nicolas Cage, The Rock, over and over and over......

Pattye, They haven't closed the last one down.  There's one on SW 69th & Western...The Winchester. During the summer months, you pay one price ($6, I think) and get to stay through 3 movies.  First one is usually G or PG (for the kids).  2nd one is PG-13 or R and 3rd one is always R.  You get to stay through all three movies (or come & go) as you like.   Right now, they're showing Hairspray (PG) at 8:15; Halloween (R) at 10:30; and Superbad (R) at 12:40.  Friday, Saturday, & Sunday only.  Each weekend, they change. We load up the truck with blankets and pillows and a cooler and head out there on nice weekends.  Kids will fall asleep usally after the first flick (as it ends around 10:00 - 10:15).  Then, hubby and I stick around to see what else is on. I'm not sure when they close for the summer, but it's a load of fun.  In fact, I have their number on my speed dial.  405-631-8851 Cathy
