Newly Banded

Hi my name is Kristy I am 26 years old and was banded on Aug 22nd in mexico.  I was hoping to find some local support on this message board. I was also hope to ind someonw close by tulsa or a support group that I could talk with about the issues surrounding WLS. If anyone could help I would appreciate it so much. Thank you. Kristy

Kristy, I was banded in Mexico on July 19th-I hope your experience was as good as mine,  I'm going back to Tijuana in September for my first fill. I live in OKC, but would be glad to talk with you either via personal message, on this forum or on the phone.  This is a great forum.  I just moved here from Dallas and WLS is not as common in OKC as it is in Dallas...yet.

Hi Kristy,   Welcome and Congrats!     Dr Gorospe's support group meeting is open to everyone. We get together on the Second Monday of each month at BAiley's Medical center in Owasso. Our next support meeting is on September 10, 2007 at Bailey's at 6:30 p.m.

Hi,

      There are quite a few of “us” in the Tulsa area.  Southcrest Hospital and Surgical Associates 918-481-4800 (St. Francis Hospital) have WLS support groups.
