Tulsa area?

 Does anyone know of any support groups in the tulsa area? or possibly even in Joplin, I live about half way between them in Vinita.. If anyone knows of a support group near me please let me know. thanks a ton! sherrie

Hi Sherrie! I can not speak for all surgeons but most of them have a list of support groups that they are affilated with. For example Oklahoma Weight Loss Options has on their website a list of each support group meeting. I would check out your surgeon's website and see if he has any.     Hopefully someone else can help you more than I did.  Are you having your surgery done in Oklahpma or Missouri? Sherrie, Glad you are looking into Support Groups.   What I am going to do is email Cathy Wilson - who is with Obesity Help - and see if she can give any names or locations of groups.  I will give her your screen name and hopefully she can send you a private message.  It may take her a few days because she is an extremely busy woman - but I promise she will get back to you. Sherrie, There is an online support group that I am a member of, Tulsa Bariatric Buddies. They do try to meet, although I have not been able to attend. There are quite a few of us up this way ( I live in Mayes county and work in Vinita), we have members in Miami, Fairland, and Colcord. I tried to join but they denied me until I am settled with my sergeon. Oh well I have my first meeting in a few weeks. i am so ready to get all this done, my hubby is telling me I am obsessed.. he doesnt even know the half of it...lol.. where in vinita do you work? we have prob crossed roads before.  if ya see me in town sometime say hey.. i am not good with faces so you will have to let me know who you are..  god bless sherrie
