Support Group Meeting

I just wanted to let everyone know, especially Tonja, that I really enjoyed the support group meeting last night. I realized that I am still learning a lot about this whole process! You guys were great with answering all of my questions.

Thanks so much!  Glad you were there. I have to say though - usually - we have a lot more questions and Tina or I will have an agenda that we use - with info to hand out. So next time - we'll have more. Looking forward to you coming again and giving us an update on your status! Tonja

I agree...great meeting.  I had a bunch of questions answered. I was in Dr. Gornichec's office today for my nutrition class.  I asked about time off work, as he was signing my fmla papers.  He won't release me to go back to work for two weeks because I'm having a revision, not a true LapBand only procedure. Heck...fmla won't do anything for me now.  Now I need to get on Short Term Disability.  My boss is going to be so frustrated with me for not giving him enough notice. ***sigh*** Again...thanks for a great meeting! Just one day at a time.  It's all going to work out.  You are appreciated at your job and you will become healthier than ever - so it's to their benefit to give you the extra time. Don't sweat it! Tonja

I told them at work today.  Everyone was very supportive.  I just need to get my short term disability approved, or I won't get paid for that second week. That scares the dickens out of me, as I'm the only bread-winner of 3 students. Cathy
