Sorry if this has been posted before, but Im having a lap band done on Sept 28 in Mexico. When I get back, I have to find a fill doctor pretty close to me here in Fayetteville, AR. Tulsa is 101 miles from here, so I can handle that. Can someone hook me up with the name and number of fill doctors in the Tulsa area. Thanks.

I would go up to the near top of the page where it says baratric surgeon and look there. I don't know if a surgeon would do fills for another surgeon. But good luck on finding one and on your surgery. Did you know you can get the lap band done in the states for like $12.000? Beats getting a passport and the hassle of going out of the country.

http://www.fillcentersusa.com/ I've heard a lot of people who get banded out of country use this site to find surgeons locally for follow-up.   Good luck! Cathy

I would list this question on the main lap band forum.  You might find someone close to you.  Also, you can check with surgeons in your area to see if they would do fills for you.  That is the bad thing about having your lap band placed in Mexico - seems that docs won't touch you.  But, when you do find out some info - will you come back here and post what you find?  I know there will be other who would love to have this info. OI don't think the docs necessarily advertise they will take other patients, but it's becoming more common.  They'd rather have your fill money than have you go out somewhere else to get it.  Also, people are moving all the time and it doesn't make sense that they would have to return to the state of their surgery for fills.  There is a fill center coming to Tulsa-I'm not sure if its there or not yet.  I'm just flying back to TJ for a "free fill" in September and taking a few days to see some sights I missed while I was recovering from surgery.  The plane ticket and hotel are about the cost of a first time fill visit, plus I'll have the extra vacation peice of it. But I am staying a couple of days-don't know if I'd fly in, get a fill and fly out again on the same day-I'm fairly cautious in an impulsive sort of way.
