The steroids are talking

I'm so hungry. Due to a heavy pulse of steroids that I was put on, I'm so doggone hungry.  I eat and eat and eat.   However, what happens after I have the band?  I hear people say that when you feel "restriction", you won't feel hungry, but c'mon...how can you not feel hungry when you're on medication that makes you that way?

I feel for you!  I took steroids when I got a bad case of poison ivy while I was out 'treasure hunting'  a few years back and oh my go**** was aweful.  I was in Vegas and it was all over my legs and I was so swelled and so hungry and it was so hot.  AAAAHHHH, lesson learned?  we'll see! Well, here is the thing, you will still feel hunger - regardless of medication or not, but you learn that you can't eat as much - it takes less to feel content.  So, it won't matter about meds or not, you will be in control.  You will see!  I promise!  And we will all be here to help you. I'm sorry you are not feeling well-it's an awful, jumpy feeling isn't it?  Steroids are hard-I don't have answers but I wish you well.

Call your doctor and tell him that you are having this problem. If you are still on them when you have surgery, its going to be very hard on you not to eat. I hate steroids! Because of them I gained over 75 pounds. Would rather have the pain than the weight.

I don't like steroids!  They take away the pain but in addition to increased appetite they also make me have nightmares.  I hope I won't need any more injections for heel spurs and bursitis after I lose weight.
