Pick the Dr. you want, and then call and let them know they will need to have a bariatric scale on hand. That is something that they should provide. This is your first chance to step up and take charge of things-which is what you are doing! Yay!
Remember, life doesn't begin with BMI of 25 it begins NOW.

Well, if you are in the business of weighing people and supervising their diets, then you ought to have a scale that accomodates that. It's just good business for them. I'm not saying it's their fault, but it is in their benefit to serve their customer base-you are likely NOT the only MO person looking for a scale and a medically supervised plan. I don't think you deserve any EXTRA benefits, but a simple scale is not asking for an extra benefit-in fact, it is for their benefit because they will be paid to supervise your weight loss.
Do you have a digital camera? Perhaps you could weigh in via video.
I don't mean to be a pest-I'm just the queen of alternate solutions.
I would think that nowadays with the obesity epidemic, doctors would have scales that go above 300. My doctor's office has a digital scale and I know it goes over 400. If you want my doctor's name send me a PM. I'm not sure if she's taking new patients but maybe one of the other two doctors in her office would.
