hoodoowoman - I'd love to invite you to come and attend one of our support group meetings.  They are generaly a lot of fun.  We do have a mixture of pre op and post op.  We do have a lot of post op discussion!  Everyone is always wanting to know what it's like to be on the other side!!! No. Don't know of any in area. 8.  What is the one thing that you look forward to doing or have achieved since having surgery? Riding horses with family without looking like a Wibble Wobble. 9.  If you could do one thing differently, what would it be? Started Pre-Cert Diet along time ago!!!

Having lost 146 lbs, I'm about 20 to 30 lbs from goal 7.  Do you attend support group regularly? Don't attend group meetings, but go to Obesity Help.com daily for support 8.  What is the one thing that you look forward to doing or have achieved since having surgery? Want to go back to Disney World and this time actually ENJOY it 9.  If you could do one thing differently, what would it be? Have WLS sooner  !!

Hi Sandy and Lori! I know waiting is the hardest part Sandy.  It really wore me out but it was so well worth it. Lori, during spring break of this year we went to Disney World and had the greatest time ever - and I've lost weight since then - so I know I would have even more fun now. Havent started yet but will soon be on the losers side 7.  Do you attend support group regularly? The only support group I attend is this site very religiously, sometime 2 or 3 times a day. 8.  What is the one thing that you look forward to doing or have achieved since having surgery? I would say once I actually have my surgery that it would be being able to ride a ride at an amusement park without being asked to sit in the test chair to make sure you arent too big for the ride and then being told sorry that you cant go on it....happened to me at Euro Disney (Paris) and it was quite embarrassing... 9.  If you could do one thing differently, what would it be? I am hoping that once I have my surgery that I do what I am supposed to with the new tool that I will have.  I am hoping that I reach the goals that I will have set for me and continue to maintain them for future.  I am also hoping that the new method of eating that I will have adopted will somewhat rub off on my children.

Ruhereyet aka Cathy... We've not officially met, but I remember reading a lot of your posts  on geocaching.com and remember reading about your boys. At the time, we were known as GeoGryffindor - but we are now Celtic Rebellion.  Of course, we've not geocached in a really long, long time.  You know - it was such a great form of exercise - maybe we should be a bariatric group up and going with geocaching.  Think of all the thrills of doing things that most folks wouldn't normally do.  It would be great fun.  Of course, since we've lived in Edmond (moved here from Sapulpa) we've not cached yet.  But, I do miss it. At any rate, I just remembered the name "ruhereyet' and wondered if it were you.  I'm glad it is - I feel a sort of connection with you! And, we've got the same surgeon - he's so completely awesome! I look forward to talking to you more! Tonja

I bought a GPS and always intended to go geocaching.  Let me know if you guys decide to start a group-I'd love to tag along.

The great thing about living in Edmond/OKC is that there are tons of geocaches around here.  I've still not done the ones around Hefner Lake.  On the way to church this morning, my husband and I were talking again about how much fun it is; how cheap of an activity it is; and we always enjoyed the family togetherness that was involved. So, if you all are game, we can try to get together.  But, I do want to say, with all the activities that are going on in my daily life, I won't be hitting it full fledge like I have in the past.  For me it will be an occasional activity. Let me explain something about geocaching.  It is so extremely addicting and it is easy to let it consume your life...especially with having an addictive personality (like I do) it's easy to replace an addiction with an addiction, i.e. food vs. geocaching.  But, with that said, it is an extremely wonderful way to get your exercise in.
