Hey YOU!!!

Got your attention now!!  This board is VERY quiet this week!!    What's everyone up to? Enjoying this absolutely BEAUTIFUL weather?!!!  We are enjoying it quite a bite. My teens went to Big Splash with the youth group yesterday, they had a ball!!!   I'm enjoying having a TAN for the first time EVER!!!!!    The kids are not so thrilled about starting school on the 9th, but them's the breaks!!!    Love to hear from ya'll. Any problems?? Any victories?? Any WOW moments???  Laurie

Hi Laurie! Glad you're enjoying Oklahoma!  This summer is cooler than we usually have---it's normally much hotter.  I got my date this week.  I'm having surgery on Aug. 20 at St. Francis.  Please remember me in your prayers!

Awh just wait till the heat really comes to town! And then the wind starts blowing and you feel like you are in a hair dryer.  I am sittin relaxin thinking that I should go and make my bed and get my toosh to moving but I am just not in the mood to do all that. Went out to go for a walk and decided that my now fixed ac was just to comfortable to leave. This whole season I thought that something was wrong with it and after calling 5 times to get a repairman I was right! No freon..so now its cold in here and I love it.

I remember when school started on August 24 or 25 and the last day was like June 10. Hardly any time off in between and now kids go and get out earlier and have less time going. I never know when school starts...until I see the kids running for the bus...oh the little things of being childless. How do you like living in Okiehomie?  I am a carolina tarheel and I miss the trees, mountains, and the ocean....would I move back....naw  I like the thrill of the tornadoes to much.... Have a great day my doggie is telling me I forgot to feed him!

Yes, in Michigan they changed the law so school can't start until after Labor Day. So last year, we started after LD and we got out June 8th.... lots of summer unless you move to Oklahoma!! hahaha  That's why the kids are bummed!  Enjoy your knewly refreshened airconditioning!!!!  Laurie

Personally schools  should be more in alignment to when it would cost less for heating and ac....And that all school supplies should be the same. None of this for math you need a 3 ringed spiral notebook and for science a 3 three ringed notebook with wide ruled paper...   Thanks I am enjoying the cool...I got my house cleaned and have started designing a quilt. 

I'm recovering nicely from my band on 7-19.  I have moved to thicker liquids-still not ready for mushies-I am being very ultra conservative because I want to heal well and once and for all. The sore part is fading and I get my stitches out next week-thank you thank you thank you.  I'm looking forward to riding my bicycle again-I'm at the stage that I feel OK but am not cleared to work out yet, so it's a little frustrating.  But, as I said before, I want to heal well  and once and for all.
