Need to find PCP and Surgeon

I just moved to Broken Arrow and now that things have settled down I really need to find a pcp and a surgeon . I had found a surgeon in Texas I really liked but now my bf wants me to wait a year before surgery until he gets time off! He doesnt understand what its like not to get around and I would rather find someone here then wait. I am looking for a PCP that is WLS friendly and a surgeon who will treat me as a person not a number. I am bascially home bound cause of my wieght and its hard to move around , besides talking to my kids and bf . I moved here to OK cause of bf but I have no family or friends here sooo all I have is my kids and the internet. Any help finding a doc and surgeon would be greatful . Thanks in advance Ann

My PCP is Dr. Michelle Coulter in Bixby, she is very supportative of me having surgery.  My surgeon is with Surgical Associates Dr. Kevin Fisher.  I'm in the beginning stages however I can tell you sometimes the wait (depending on self pay or insurance and if you need to lose weight before surgery) can be as long as 6 months to 1 year.  Just my experience so far.

Do you have a phone number for her? I have Medicare and Medicade(soonercare) I have been working with Dr Patel since March but he is in San Antonio and the problem is distance of driving for us because bf doesnt not have any more vacation time this year left. I have tried to find a listing for Dr Coulter and cant find it. Thanks

Thanks I called her office and they no longer will take anyone on disabilty So, I am finding this all frustrarting!
