Beaches around Broken Arrow
Oklahoma has more shoreline than the entire USA. That used to be a state tourism pitch. There are lots of lakes. Keystone Lake is about 15 miles west of Tulsa. I guess that would be the closest.
Then there is Sequoyah Lake in Wagoner/Muskogee County. There are so many wonderful State Parks here I would suggest going to www.oklahomaparks.com
Right now due to the rains over the last 2 months all the lakes are above normal levels. I would think that by the time you get to Oklahoma and get settled they should be at normal levels You and your little fishys should enjoy a day at the lake. I must say however I think one of the most scenic lakes is Lake Tenkiller.
Have fun
Beaches?! Your note cracked me up! I used to live in Florida, so I'm familiar with REAL beaches! Out here, I am a pool girl. I do not like to go into any water where I can't see what my feet are touching!
Looking forward to your arrival in BA!
All the best, Cheryl
