Protein drinks pre-op

Does clear liquids include the protein drinks.  I'm scheduled for surgery June 5, and I start my clear liquid diet 4 days before surgery.  Also I hear that flavorless Whey is the best as far as mixing protein drinks and adding to jello & pudding.  I wish they made a preotein pill!

Nursemate, My Dr. said that you can use your protein drink on your liquid diet right before surgery. All Dr. are differant. So good luck. Take care and GOD Bless... Krishna

My doctor says the protein shakes are on my clear liquid diet as well, I have to stay on it for 10 days prior to surgery with a ****tail of magnesium citrate for 2 days prior to surgery. I had to make sure I'm done with work for those days lol. Good luck on your upcoming date!
