I am on day three of the liquid diet and if anyone out there has any suggestions on what they have tried I would love to hear them. I got the sheet of paper from the doctor but I know I am going to get real tired of jello and yogurt. Thank you, Makiah

carnation instant breakfast - you can add protein powder to it after surgery as well. This is how I survived after my surgery. To Go Sticks - WalMart brand or whatever. I LOVE them, drop them in a bottle of water and shake it up. I like to freeze mine a little so it's icy. Soup - I'm not sure what kind you can have on a liquid diet, but as a newly post op I took campbells chicken noodle and drained just the juice. Then I took the juice and diluted it down (1/2 and 1/2 I think) Geee, thats about all this pea brain can think of right now, it's been a while since I was on liquids. Best of wishes to you and your surgery!!!!! Laurie

What about Sugar Free POPSCICLES, there are a bunch of flavors and varities to try and from what I have heard they are good post op too. You can also check out Susan Maria's website she sells things for bariatric eating pre and post op, I went there to get a few ideas for things I could look for at my local gnc store of health food type store.

I do my protein shakes, SF jello, SF popsicles, enough crystal light to float a cruiseliner, and some low sodium chicken brother. The rule is if you can see through it, it's a clear liquid (even though the protein shakes aren't clear).
