any of dr gornichec patients out there?trying to decide on lap-band.thanks for any input.

Dr. Gornichec will be doing my RNY surgery in July. He is incredible! Very thorough in the pre-testing - I've been quite impressed with him and his track record is fabulous! Cheryl

Hi David, The decision to have bariatric surgery of any kind is not one to be taken lightly. (no pun intended) As a potential patient, you should gather as much information as possible so that you make an informed decision. In my opinion, Dr Gournichec is a great place to start. He and his staff will take time to answer your questions and provide you more information than you can imagine. The pre op work up he does is very detailed and is imperative to a good outcome. He has a very no nonsense approach and his patients do well. Good luck with your research and surgery if you decide that is what is best for you. Tina

My aunt is in the process of working with Dr. Gornichec, so far I've heard nothing but good things about him and will be checking into his office and staff for my own procedure. Lap-Band is also my choice.

Dr. G did my lapband in August of 2006. He does have an excellent reputation and if you've met him you know that he is very intelligent & well informed on this surgery. I was a self-pay & my husband just told me that this was the best money he's ever spent. We are thrilled with the results and it seems like a relatively natural way to lose weight and keep it off. There is an adjustment period after the surgery and you do  need to commit to follow the doc's rules but if you do, you will be thrilled too.

I see Dr G on june 15th for a revision and i heard he was a very good doctor. I had lap rny 6/16/03 in Missouri.. So not sure if they will put the band around me or what there going to do other then fix a hernia we will have to see my appt is at 1:30
