overlarge stoma: 5 yrs out

I'm nearly 5 yrs post open RNY proximal and had a swallow test with barium AND a small bowel series. The EGD the day before confirmed a very large stoma opening and the swallow test showed clearly that there is basically no difference between the small intestine and the pouch. (as an aside my pouch is still the original 1 oz size!) Has anyone else had surgery to correct this issue which is what they are talking about. There's other stuff going on but this is my prime issue I want to know from OTHERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE and their progress with it all. Plus if anyone has had this same issue, what doc in the OKC area and beyond does this type of "revision" with success and short down time? --bree

I will let you know who I find for the 'revision'. After looking over the site here for OKLA docs who do revisions it looks like I may start with the Edmond Bariatric ctr? and see if they do a revision. I've gotten a couple of responses from the other boards where they have used the lapband to tighten the large stoma opening with a lot of success. I'll keep you updated with the info I get!
