Hi Everyone! I am Theresa. I live in OKC and had my RNY on Dec. 26th. So far I have lost 97lbs I try to get on the board once a week but I have a 6, 4 and 2 year old so life gets hectic

Ya hoo it seems like almost daily there is some one new I havent seen on this thread. I just new there was a bunch of us. I hope to see more and more people post here its nice meeting and hearing from new people. I hope everyone is doing well and chat when ya can!!

Hi Everyone, My name is Loretta and I live in Shawnee and work in OKC. I'm 5 mos post op RNY in Tulsa, OK. I've lost 112 lbs and my surgeon is Dr. Gorospe and he saved my life !! I'm married to a great guy and will celebrate our 15th anniversary on the 19th of the month. We have a beautiful 13 yr old daughter. Re the boards, I usually try to hit the Okla board at least every few days, but visit the Main board, the Nov 06 board, and the RNY board everyday.

Hello everyone, I'm Krishna. Origanally from California. Now in Lawton. Military you know. I have my consult with Dr. Warnock on the 27th. Thanks to my new friend and ex-coworker Heidi. I'm excited that I will have someone to compare notes with. By the way, How long can this process take? From consutation to actual surgery? My hubby will soon deploy off too Iraq and really want this done before he leaves in Mid. Aug. Is there a chance or am I holding my breath?

Hello everyone! I'm Cheryl and I live in Broken Arrow with my "daughter" Princess Buffy - she's a 65 lb basset hound. She's super supportive of surgery for me because it means she can walk 2-3 times a day and "Mom" doesn't have to stop to catch her breath! I see Dr. Gornichec in OKC - it's a 2 hour drive - but well worth it! I'm hoping to have surgery in late June or early July and just started my first month of pre-surgical supervision required by the insurance company. I need to lose exactly 1/2 of my weight. 10 years ago I was at my lowest weight in a long time - and it just happened to be the day of my husband's funeral - just two weeks after my 30th birthday. As you can figure out, I put myself in a tailspin and piled the weight on. Last year, something finally snapped me out of it. Now, I have my 30 year old mind back and I need to get my body to catch up! I moved here 6 months ago from Ohio. I'm a Grad student at OSU-Tulsa and love it! I was psyched to find this board and people posting from BA and its surrounding areas! I'll make a point to check it daily going forward! Take care, Cheryl

Hi, I'm Staci and I live in Broken Arrow. I had my RNY surgery on 10/30/06 with Dr. Kevin Fisher at Surgical Associates. I have lost 75 pounds so far, and am 22 pounds from goal! Yippee!

Hi all. I just joined today. My hubby and I are both scheduled with Dr Gorospe for our first appointment Friday May 4th. We have both decided the lap bad surgery would be best for us. We plan to have the procedures as close to each other as we can. We live in Okmulgee and hubby works in Tulsa. I home school our daughter and work from home. I grew up in St Louis Missouri and spent several years in the Branson area. I have lived here for almost 7 years.
