Just getting started

Hi I'm just getting started wtih lapband. I go to my first seminar on the 27th. I'm ready as soon as the doctor can do this. I'm been researching the procedure for 2 years and reading profiles. Anyone have any helpful hints to get me started? Thanks for any help!!!

Hello Marilyn My name is Melissa. I live in Choctaw, Oklahoma. I noticed you posted on my Where is everyone? Your doctor will put you on a diet for about 2 weeks prior to surgery. They want you to loss some weight before the surgery to help with your liver. They say its easier on you. Oh, you will not have any saline put into your lapband until about 4-6 weeks, depends on your doctor. I was sore for about 3 days after my surgery. My husband was trying his hardest to make me eat. I think that was the first time in my life I didn't want to eat anything. Ha Ha. I lost about 10 lbs before surgery. I have lost a total of 59 lbs, its been 5 months since my surgery. You will loss weight real quick, especially in the first couple of months. Then all of a sudden it will slow down super fast. But its ok, you don't want to loss it all at once.
