Startiing the journey
Hello Everyone,
I am new to this site and it has been so rewarding reading everyone's questions, answers, etc. I have an appointment with Dr. Eldridge on 2-15-07 and I can't believe how excited I am. :-p I will be private pay. I am wanting the lap band procedure and am wondering what you payed for this and more importantly how long were you off work? Any other helpful information would be greatly appreciated!!
Ann
Tonja,
Thanks for the reply. The more I hear from people the more excited I become!
When were you banded and how much weight have you lost?
My friends keep asking me if I am not afraid of surgery, "NO" I tell them, "I am afraid of not having the surgery!" I have an appointment with Dr. Eldridge at St. Anthonys on the 15th!!!

Hello
Well my insurance paid for my procedure. I don't work, but I was in my reclinder for a couple of days. I had my surgery on a Thursday afternoon, went home 2 hours after I woke up from my surgery. By Monday I drove my girls to school and got around the house good.
I'm happy to hear you are starting your journey, by doing the lap band. It was the best thing I've done for myself and my family.

Hello Ann
I have no regrets at all. I have lost 51lbs so far. It has been a little over 3 months. I feel great. My weight lost has slowed down. I have been lifting weights more now. I am having trouble losing my mid section. Oh well, it will go away sooner or later. I go back to see my doctor on Feb. 14th.
Let me know how everything goes.
