Ice Storm

How is everybody doing? I am here in McAlester wiating forthe eletric to come back on. Lost a lot fo trees in my yard and glad to have ho****er, a gas range and gas logs fireplace. Hope that you are all safe and keeping warm. Linda S.

Sorry you lost your power and your trees. I really sympathize with folks who have gone days without it. I live between Tulsa and Claremore and we've been housebound since Friday afternoon. We finally got out today and did a little shopping at Wallyworld.

Hello. I'm so bored. We have been home since Friday morning. We live in Choctaw. Kids are out of school and we have been doing a lot of sleding. Never thought I would have an ice rink on my own lawn. We live on over 3 acres, so lots of ice. My poor outside dogs are tired of being in the garage, but better then out in the cold temps. Running low on food, but I guess that is a good thing! Maybe I can lose a couple more pounds by the end of the week. Ha Ha. Can't wait unitl Spring Melissa

I have an uncle in McAlester, they are living in his shed ala generator. He told my Mother he is too old for such adventures! Good to hear you are able to stay warm. I have another friend there (I actually grew up in Canadian) - but won't be able to reach her for some time I fear. I stayed home yesterday icky, I was sick all day Sunday but drove on in to work today. Longest drive of my life! lol

WE BROKE DOWN A BOUGHT A LITTLE GENERATOR JUST TO RUN SOME LIGHTS AND A LITTLE TV JUST TO GET SOME NEWS SINCE EVEN OUR LOCAL RADIO STATION IS OUT! fEMA IS HERE AND THE RED CROSS IS HERE AND WAL-MART IS OPEN, SO LIFE ISN'T TOO BAD! A LOT OF PEOPLE MAY SAY THAT WALMART IS AN EVIL CORPORATE GIANT BUT THEY WERE OPEN AND GETING STUFF IN FOR THE PEOPLE HERE. wITH HOPE THIS WILL BE OVER SOON.

LINDA~~~ OMG!!!!!I hate to be the bearere of BAD NEWS!!! But we are getting sleet and snow today...and friday night.....another storm is due....lawton and just north...7-12 inches of snow....and even more ice for the SE part of the state....all you gotta do is goto NOAA.Gov look up Oklahoma....there is the forcast from the NWS in Norman...and hopefully you have a Wx Radio....lemme know if I can help with any info you may need...... We heard of another storm coming in by this weekend. I thinkwe have most anything we could need to survive. Now that the Red Cross is here and fema we should be okay. We are hanging in there.
