Pam, I'm familiar with Allen. When I was growing up in Eufaula and my grandmother lived in Sulphur, Allen was the halfway point between us. We'd meet my grandmother there so I could go spend some time with her in the summers. I chose Dr. Gorospe for a few reasons. I had a few co-workers who had their surgery with Dr. G and have done wonderfully. He also has a very low mortaility rate. Plus, I wasn't real happy and comfortable with the two surgeon's I'd attended a seminar for in OKC. In addition, he sews in a scilastic ring at the point where your intestines is reattached to your pouch. That enables you to feel fuller longer. That was a major selling point. Good luck with your decision. Loretta
