Help! I am seeking information on how to manage rapid changes in my legs following lower body lift / thigh lift last December. For weeks after the surgery (and subsequent removal of drains) I returned to my surgeon to have needle aspiration (drainage) of fluid which continued to rebuild on my hips. He explained I had a seroma but not to worry, it would eventually all be absorbed by my system. It hasn't and with three recent trips on airplanes the amount of fluid in my legs - from the hips clear down to the ankles - is alarming. I've done some preliminary reading online but nothing sounds too hopeful. Is there a surgeon on this board that might be consulted. I would not make the return trip to my surgeon in Florida, but would travel anywhere to get a handle on this before all my weight loss work is ruined. Thanks

Have you been to see a therapist that specializes in Lymphedema? I would recommend finding a very good therapist and get in for treatments and therapy. If you need help locating a therapist in your area let me know. Amy
