I am very sad right now I am down 150 lbs. thats great, but I am stuck with all this hanging skin. When I wear jeans you see the apron (hanging skin on the abdomen). I feel wonderful, I just didn't think I would look this bad. I went to several consults last week to have plastic surgery (abdomenalplasty, breast lift, thigh lift and arms) I found out it is far beyond my dreams to have this done, the cheapest and its just for my tummy and breasts will cost me $15000. I just pray I win the lottery, or be on Extreme Makeover.

Brenda, I know just how you feel. I am down over 200 lbs.... and had such an excess amount of skin... looked awful naked in front of my mirror.... and my jeans couldn't hide the excess abdomen. I did get the excess skin removed from the abdominal area.. and things look much better ....What I did to get the excessive skin removed was a reconstructive surgery... not plastics.... not as pretty as plastic...but still better than it was.. I was able to document medical reason and have them backed up by physicans to get it done.. If you are interested in learning more about mine... email me.... maybe I can give you a few ideas.... I still have winning the lottery as a back up plan as well.......

We had a plastic surgeon come to speak at our support group meeting last night. He said that while most plastic surgery is not covered by insurance, occasionally the panicullectomy (tummy tuck) is. However, it does not cover anything above the belly button, and only has to do with what is below it, but that is the apron. You might check into that part of it. Good luck to you.
