Hello, my name is sonya. I am in Stonewall Oklahoma, that is near ada. I am about 7 months post surgery and miss my support group in Ohio. I had surgery there and recently moved here to Oklahoma. Please let me know if u get one going.

I am very interested. I have been frustrated by the lack of support in the actual metro area (there seem to be plenty of groups in Edmond and Norman, but not in OKC proper). Let me know if you need any help! Jen

we used to have on in South OKC, but had to stop because of location & other issues. Several people who "lost" the group then should be interested!!! Also, you can contact obesity help & they can help you with training, etc free of charge to become a "chapter"!!!! I would be interested in attending another support group in OKC if it didn't conflict with my current support group in Edmond. I don't think you can have too much support! Jane

Actually, I would be interested. I'm over 2 yrs out and have gained about 20 pounds overall after a big bout of malnutrition. My surgeon was in Tulsa (as was I) and he no longer does the surgery. Since I moved here in April 06, I've been wanting to attend a new group, but a bit afraid of being "let into the fold". I know support groups can sometimes be very tight knit.
