Self pay for gastric bypass

I was just wondering if anyone had been self pay for gastric bypass, how much everything was and how you paid for it? Thanks so much.

Luckily, I have good insurance. However, Dr. Henry Pearce told me recently that laproscopic RNY is about $30,000 and open is about $25,000. Surely that's negotiable, especcially if you pay up front.....J.J.

Kristina; I paid $29,000 for my lap RNY. It included the Dr's fee, the hospital fee, the Psy eval, my nut visits and my exercise physologist visits, as well as a 1 year membersip in the gym. P.S.
