Hey there - thanks! I just came from a meeting with my General doc today to make sure I could start back on an organized plan so I can be as heathly as possible before my surgery. I don't have a date for surgery or anything but I have started the wheels in motion. I am also leaning toward Edmond RH. You had the LAP RNY,right? Congrats to you! How are you feeling - any thing not as excpected? I am leaning towards having the LAP-Band procedure. I look foward to chatting with you again! Tina

Tina; I had a wonderful WLS experience. I had my surgery done through the Weightwise Bariatric program (I'm sure you have heard the commercials by now ) my surgeon was Dr. Greg Walton. Their website is www.weightwise.com if you want to check them out too, although, it sounds like you may have made you decision on who will do your surgery. I am feeling great. The surgery went very well. I went in on Monday, April 3rd (my birthday btw) and was released on Wednesday, April 5th. They took wonderful care of me at the Foundation of Bariatrics Hospital in Edmond; I almost didn't want to leave! I felt like I was prepared for pretty much anything and everything, from being on the OH Website. I would read posts everyday, just to see what EVERYONE experienced. I knew that everyone was different, and I choose to be very optimistic about my surgery and felt that God had opened up all the doors and he would take care of me. The only thing I had trouble with was during my second week of liquids only, after the surgery, I got HUNGRY!!! Nothing would really satisfy me and I was pretty miserable. I wasn't expecting the hunger, so I didn't mentally "prepare" for it. On week 3, when I could do soft foods, I was much better. I even went back to work in 2 ½ weeks! I am working on updating my profile with my surgery experiences and photos, but I was trying to wait until I could see how they are going to re-do them first because I want to change my a bit. Please, let me know if you have ANY type of questions. I hope you have a great support system with family and friends, but if you every need someone to talk to, or to go to support groups and/or seminars, just let me know. I truly believe in this surgery and I hope to be as supportive to others that are considering WLS as OH had been to me.! Jane J
