I am a little frustrated and a lot confused and I was hoping people who have had this surgery through the OSU Med Center can help me! I was told by one of their program coordinators in the bariatric department that after my insurance is billed and they pay for their part, whatever is left that comes to me can be broken down into payment arrangements..kind of like any medical bill you get can be. You can call Financial Services and say..hey..I need to break these into monthly payments. I was told by two people in bariatrics that I can. But then just the other day someone from Financial Services (don't usually work in bariatrics) tried to say they don't allow payments for bariatric patients?! So I'm hearing one thing from bariatrics and another from their general hospital financial services staff! HELP! Anyone have any experience with this? You get your part of the bill after surgery from them and were you able to ask for money installments?

Welcome and congrats. I am south of Cleveland (Akron) and have a June surgery date.  I am in the program at Summa so I know anything out the docs up north.

Just a quick note to introduce myself - my name is Debbie, and I am hoping to have a surgery date in June - been going through "the process" since March, and am going through the Cleveland Clinic.

Was wondering how many others have gone up to the Main Campus, and who all have had Dr. Stacy Brethauer?  I had my 1st appt. with him a few weeks ago, and really like him.

Any input you have would be greatly appreciated.
