Hi all,
I wanted to drop in and say "Hello" I am doing really well, I have dropped allot of my "Prednizone" weight, FINALLY got a Doctor to say I am allergic to that CRAP! and I can not be put on it anymore!!! Yay!
I also have a pain management doctor that put me on another pain medication that is helping me to lose the pounds. And I am now down to 220lbs and still falling! Woohoo!!!! I am feeling allot better, more energtic and even have had 2 job interviews for part-time jobs and I am hoping to have landed 1, waiting to hear when my training date is to start.
I still have another 45lbs to take off for my goal weight but I am taking baby steps. It's been a long road, but one that will be well worth it again :).
I am glad that I fought against ignorant Doctors and didn't allow them to give up on me. I still have not found a support group close enough for me to travel too down here. Most are 30 miles or more from me. Maybe once I begin working and have extra money I will be able to afford it more. Right now I just give it over to God and He helps me.
Thanks for the support and I will try my best to check in better. I think I have my preferences set up better so that I get notified when people send messages now.
Take care and God Bless!

it'll happen. The last thing you want is to take unnecessary risks. You've got 2 weeks to get the clearance. Loads of time. Start on the phone this morning getting your appts. in order. Nothing is more important than your health!

I'm a little bummed out this morning. Yesterday I went for my PAT and they didn't like my EKG so now I have to see a cardiologist to get clearance for surgery. If I don't get it by the 14th, my surgery will be off for the 19th. :(

Topic: Celebrating an XL
Hey everyone!
Just wanted to take a moment to share the tiny victory I had this morning. I was freezing my butt off in an airport and my flight was delayed. I decided to see if I couldn't buy a sweatshirt. The shop sold the ususal "normal people sizes" S, M, L & XL. Well, for YEARS I would have turned away because the XL would not have fit and stores like that just don't carry womens 3X.
There I was -- holding the XL up to me -- doubtful it would fit. The sales lady said, "Go ahead and try it on." And I thought, "Wow. She seems to think it will fit." So I did and it really fit. And not sausage-tight either. It looked pretty good for a bright blue Milwaukee sweatshirt.
Most of the world wouldn't understand me celebrating wearing an XL, but I figured you guys would get it. :-)

Hi Kate,
Right now I'm staying in Conneaut for the summer. My house is in Garfield Heights. I am looking forward to getting involved with the support group starting in Oct. Its just too long a ride back and forth for me right now.

Tammie, if you are anywhere near Solon, please come join us at our group. Wish I would have started in a group pre-op! The support group is something I really look forward to and has kept me totally on track.
