Oh, I moved.  Forgot that shows Columbus :)  I have already seen both surgeons so I was just trying to decide between the two.  Thank you for bringing that to my attention.

You should check out Dr. Maguire at Miami Valley in Dayton. He has been doing wls since 1978 and does do revisions. He did my D/S and think he is one of the best in the country.
Between the two you mentioned.....I see Dr. Curry patients on here all the time. They seem to have good results
Best of luck with making a choice !!!!

Go with Dr. Curry. I believe he has office hours in Columbus for follow-up.

 Hi Deb,

I hope you have a fantastic time in Florida at your son's wedding. Now that I am losing weight and feeling better I can't wait to go back to FT. Lauderdale myself. I have lost about 40 pounds since surgery and 94 since I started my diet back in October '10. Pretty close to 1/4 of my body weight. As far as the Meat goes.. it has gotten a little better the past week. I don't know if week 9 was my magic number but it seems that my stomach has relaxed a bit and i can consume a little more food which worried me slightly then I remembered that it was probably irratated and swollen for 2 months and now it is probably at full capacity.

Topic: Suggestions for Dr. Curry or Dr. Schauer
Hello,

Can anyone help me with suggestions?  My picks for VSG is between Dr. Trace Curry at Jewish Hospital Cincinnati, Ohio and Dr. Philip Schauer at the Cleveland Clinic Cleveland, Ohio.  Cincinnati is 2 hours away and Cleveland Clinic is 4 hours away.  I am a revision from Band to Sleeve (band removed 2+ years ago) and have already been approved for either surgeon.  Any suggestions positive or negative is greatly appreciated.  Thank you SO much.

I actually DID take it down for about 3 months...   then I put it back.

She is in the smaller physician office building on the other side of the hospital (attached to the ER garage).  She shares an office with Dr. Eslami (a female plastic surgeon).

I can see why they gave her the records of everyone who had ONLY seen her for bariatric surgery since no one else in the other office DOES bariatric surgery, but I don't understand why/how they could give her the records for those of us who also saw other surgeons there for various things.  The part of my file related to the several surgeries that Dr Muth has done on me is probably larger than the portion of the folder for the RNY-related stuff.

I just hope Dr. Muth is able to find the source of my problem (he thinks maybe internal hernia) when he goes in the next time I have a serious bout of pain.  He understood (and agreed with) her reluctance to do surgery because of creating additional scar tissue, but at least he understood that "you might just have to live with it" is not an acceptable answer when you are dealing with pain that intense.
