The following comes from the monthly reminder email I recieved from the Summa Bariatric Ceare Center. Everyone is welcome to this meeting. You do not need to be a Summa parient to attend.

Hello Everyone! I hope you are having a great day! We will meet for our monthly Support Group Meeting on Wednesday, September 28th at 6:30 PM. The meeting will be held in the PODS at 55 Arch Street as usual.
We have great presentations to look forward to next week. Courtney Kenney, a graduate student from the University of Akron, will be discussing exercise basics, BOD POD, and lead a seated strength training class. We will also have Barb Corsa representing Vi-Shape nutrition supplements. She will discuss the products and also have samples for us to try.
Please note that when we have someone representing a product, it is only to share ideas and to offer you new choices. It is not meant to pressure you into purchasing the products in any way!
Chuck Gough (our very own marathoner!) would also like to share a few words at the beginning of the group.
Announcements:
We will be canceling Nutrition Update group NEXT month (Oct. 26th) to shoot photo/video footage of a “mock support group" for Summa’s marketing department. We will be meeting earlier that night (5:45pm), prior to the regular support group time, to shoot. If you are interested in being a part of this you can sign a permission slip at our September meeting next week or that night. I will be sending more information regarding this event.
Also, the Walk from Obesity is Saturday, October 8th at Firestone Metro Park. Fliers went out via mail and I will also have them at the meeting next week. You may also go to www.walkfromobesity.com for more information. Dr. Pedersen, our plastic surgeon, will be presenting next month, October 26th. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone soon!

Walk Information: Join us for a 1.6 mile walk on an easy trail past the Tuscarawas River & Little Turtle Pond in Metropark. There will be prizes raffled off at the end of the Walk. Bring the whole family!

Yes, he has left the practice but there is a new surgeon in place so it will continue. Dr Sonnanstine is his name, I think. I looked him up and he has great reviews. Dr Myers hasn't said where he is going but when he does FS will let us know and we will have the option to go with him or stay.
Personally, I will probably stay, plan to make an appointment with the new doc and see how I feel about it. My next choice will be to walk away or look into a revision to DS at OSU.
Dr Myers will be doing any surgeries that are already scheduled, his last day is 9/30.
