Hi all you fellow Buckeyes! I'm new here, only been a member for about a week. I'm loving this site and finding something new every day I'm on here. I am from Barberton, Ohio, and currently am scheduled for a RNY on November 7. Just wanted to check out this forum and meet some other people who are from the area. Wondering if there is anyone else out there from the Akron area who has a surgery date close to mine. I hope you all have a wonderful day and add me as a friend if you like. I look forward to getting aquainted with others who are on this magnificent journey to better health.

I am sure that every thing will be fine and Dr. Sonnanstine, the new doctor, is great.  He did my RNY surgery at Georgetown, KY and if he checked on me one time in a day he checked 10.  OK maybe not that many but seemed like every time I looked up he was coming in the room.  He is worth the wait and I am sure it won't be long.  I know he is already doing surgery there, or at least I heard he was.

Dr Myers is probably going out of state so he isn't an option.
What ever you decide, you won't have to re do the six months, if you decide to transfer you can have your records moved.
Why not come to the support group meeting on the 18th and meet the new doc before you decide what to do?

Topic: a bit OT - Toledo Pain Mgmt docs ?
Our SIL is having some issues with pain and he needs to know about pain mgmt docs that are covered by his insurance.

Anyone know anything good or bad about any of these docs ?  They are the ones his insurance will cover.

Dr Samuel Agubosim - Eastgate Rd
Dr Joseph Atallah - Arlington Rd
or
Dr Ama Goyal - Regency Ct

Thanks much for any input at all !

Is there anyone else out there in "limbo" waiting for the insurance approval since the new doctor has come into the program?  I am curious as to what the staff is telling you.  I finished my 6 months of dietitian appointments almost 3 weeks ago and the staff has yet to submit my paperwork to the insurance because of a "snafu" with the new doc coming in and Dr. Myers leaving.  Is anyone else out there in the same boat?  have you given any thoughts to going else where?  I was wondering if we could have Dr. Myers still do the surgery in his new location, once he gets one, and not have this insurance hold up?

I would welcome anyone's thought and would appreciate any open dialogue because at this point I an having serious anxiety about possibly havingto do the 6 month requirement all over again.  Feeling frustrated and needing some encouragement!

I'm a little over a week out now, and was wondering if you had started up any meetings or found a place yet...
