I will say I am pretty disappointed with Dr, Sonnanstine right now...Though there was a time I had more respect for him than anyone my mind has changed quite a bit. He did my husbands band, when he moved he said he would take care of him. I have emailed two times with questions, he answered once. My husband contacted his office and received no return call. We have heard from another patient that had surgery a band placed in Ky. that when he went to see Dr. Sonnanstine for a fill he was charged nearly $400.00...when he called to question the bill he was then given a discount. Times have certainly changed and I am sure he has too...
disappointed is all I can say. He is a doctor, my husbands doctor, I am a abit angry about this whole situation.

These boards are full of weight loss buddies. I would suggest to attend a support group close to you. Does the surgeon that you want to do your surgery have one? I had my surgery in Akron and we have monthly support meetings. They are open to pre-ops. You will get a lot of support there.

I just had plastics in Cleveland. I had brachio and a BL/BA with a bra line lift on 11-2. Very happy with results and my surgeon. Getting ready for round 2. paid around 11,000.00 inclusive of everything. Facelift will be around 9000.00 and the lower body lift is around 10,500.00. These all reflece global pricing. Preop testing all post op care. EVERYTHING. I had this done at the Cleveland Clinc and couldn't have been happier with my care. there are a few of us on the plastics forum from Ohio. You probably need to post every couple of days to reach us though. Please feel free to pm wih any questions.

Thank-you! I did the 6 months of WW visits with a few doctor visits during that time. I finished the diet a week ago, so I need to get to the doctor so that she can do my final weigh-in and submit it. I'm hoping they don't give me too much hassel because I missed several weigh****chers meetings. But it souds like they aren't terrible though, so that give me hope!

I have Med Mutual Supermed and once I completed my 6 months of Dr. supervised diet, my PCP submitted my medical records to my bariatric surgeon and Med Mutual approved it within a week. They're great in approving quickly....at least for me. I had additional co-morbidities....diabetes and high blood pressure. My surgery is scheduled for 12/20/11. I wish you luck with your approval and your process.

I have Buckeye and am going to Dr. Lalor he and his staff are super. I had to do 6mos. supervised diet and lots of testing. now waiting for approval

Wood County is a center of excellence for weight loss surgery and they do take Buckeye Community that is what I have and I am going to Dr Lalor there.
