Topic: RE: Oregon, Ohio support group?
I wish there was one in Oregon still! I was going to take over, but at the time didn't feel I was at the right place in my journey.
I only know of Dr White's support groups here in Toledo, usually the welcome all! I so need to get back into my TOOL and support and continue my journey!

Yes it is Columbus, Thank you, I have a hard time remembering just where he is, since I have never been to Ohio. I can't believe they charge that much for a fill. It was much cheaper when he was in KY to get a fill, but he probably is not setting the prices since he is working for the hospital now. They are probably setting them. I know that is how it works where I use to work, the doctors that work for the hospital have no say in the charges, but those in private practice do.

Jaqueline, he is in Columbus, not Cleveland so that is even closer.
I haven't met with him yet, not too sure if I will. I am considering a revision to a DS which he won't do so I have been working on that with OSU. He did say he was more than willing to meet with me and won't try to change my mind but does have a surgeon he would prefer I go to in Indy. I will consider that if he would be willing to do followup as I need a doc here in town.
I know our band folks did have major sticker shock for fills, 7 times more $$ than Dr Myers so the practice may be losing a lot of them.
Should be interesting to see how it all plays out.

I have to disagree with Brenda, I have emailed Dr. Sonnanstine a couple of times for questions and he has answered both times.
He knows his stuff and is very good. I will defend him forever. Yes, I was upset when I found out he was leaving KY but he is only six hours away from me, which is two more than he was. I will be traveling to Cleveland to see him either the end of March or the first of April. His staff has also returned my call.

Topic: RE: I will be sleeved in early January!
Congratulations on your decision. I recently had the Vertical Sleeve (11/2/2011)...best decision. I have had the Unjury protein before and it is fine however I prefer the protein that i found on the following website www.bariatriceating.com They have a powder called Isopure that dissolves in a small amount of water or other liquid. They also have ready to drink liquids that have up to to 40 grams of protein.
Good luck on your surgery and happy losing...
