Topic: Transitional Clothing Exchange
Losing the weight is great, and going dropping sizes feels even better. The "down" side, if you wan't to call it that, is that I am starting to go through clothes quicker than I thought I would..that being said If you are a female living in Summit County and are interested in, need or would like to swap transitional clothing, let me know. I have quite a bit of size 26/28 thru 22/24 pants, tops, skirts. All in very good shape, some like new, nothing damaged or faded.

Ladies,
Don't get discouraged! I had my surgery in 12/13/11. My surgeon's office submitted the info to United Health and it took a little over a week. Check with your Dr's office. Trust me they are used to getting those types of calls and you can always call your United Health directly. Did United give you a nurse case manager? If so, bug the heck out of her too! Sometimes you have to be persistent and be your own advocate. Its a long journey and you've come to far to give up hope or to become discouraged.

Topic: Fast Track in Cincinnati
Just thought I'd drop a line here to let everyone know that we have a specialized workout center for surgical weight loss patients in Cincinnati (one in Evendale and one in Northern Ky) called Fast Track. We have dropped our monthly membership prices to $20.12 to encourage people to get moving in 2012! We have Zumba classes taught by a certified instructor three times a week and it's a really cool place!
Stop by and check it out, call 513-475-3598 or email [email protected] for more details!

Topic: Anyone from Portage County?
Hi there!
I'm trying to find a local support group and wonder if there may be one somewhere in Portage County...
...or if someone is looking for a WLS buddy in the same area.

Topic: Why not bicycle this summer with fellow WLS patients?
Fellow Ohioans,
Three summers ago I joined with two other bariatric patients and formed the Spin-off Cyclists, a casual trail cycling club for other bariatric patients and others who want to cycle for good health. Over the past two years we have grown and have many members and rides. I wanted to share the details of our upcoming season with members on this board. You will find our group to be extremely welcoming to newbies and seasoned cyclists. You can become a member free of charge at http://spinoffcyclists.com.

Topic: RE: Plastic Surgery in Ohio Self Pay
I used a Cincinnati plastic surgeon for my arms, mons lift, and tummy tuck (someone else did my insurance-covered panniculectomy). I paid $1500 for the mons lift when combined with my arm lift (which was around $3500) and paid a little over $6000 for the tummy tuck, all about 2 years ago. The surgeon I had uses a surgical hospital (that does have facilities for a limited number of overnight "guests") rather than a full-service hospital, so I paid less for the facility fees than I would have at a regular hospital.
