Wednesday March 21, 2012 @ 6:30pm until 8:00pm, Canton Ohio WLS Support Group will be holding their Monthly Support Group Meeting. I hosted a Meet and Greet last year in April in Canton, Ohio with approx. 60 attendees.
Guest speakers included the dynamic speaker, Bo McCoy with ObesityHelp.com, bariatric surgeon Dr. Schauer from Cleveland Clinic, Celebrate Vitamins, plastic surgeon Dr. Hurwitz and several other vendors.
I posted on the OhioOH board last May if any interest in having another one.

Topic: Help! pain!
I am 10 days post op. Wednesday, at my follow up my doc told me to increase my diet to include some pureed items to my diet. Last night I had the same meal I had 3 times since. I experienced pretty sever pain that lasted about 2-3 hours. I was thinking what did I get myself into. Today, I am going to cut back a bit on textures and try again tomorrow. Anyone else ever experienced this? Suggestions?

I'm very interested in this. I had GB on 7/16/11 and my husband had it on 1/9/12. We live in Painsville now. We'd love to join a support group.

I am doing well with my surgery but I'd like to go to group meetings. I had my surgery @ Ohio State and they offer group there but it's a 2 hour drive for me. Dose anyone know of a group closer to Findlay than that?

Thanks Ladies....I realize appreciate your insight and input. I think tomorrow our start all over like I just had surgery and see where it leads me. I like the idea of a liquid diet and more protein. I may even go buy some protein shakes or suppplements as I haven't had any in a long time. Again thanks so much for leading me in the right direction. I'll let you know how I'm doing and best luck to both of you as well.

Dr. Bruce & Dr. Clarey out of Dayton/Miamisburg would work out of Grandview Hospital in Dayton, OH took my Medicare/Medicaid.
As for the problem with Medicaid paying bills right now is because they changed to a new billing system in October. It's a temporary issue, with a software issue, how I know this, is I am one of the client's whose bills haven't been getting paid. I have been reassured to have the bills resubmitted.
My gastric bypass was covered due to my doctor's saying that it was medically necessary and life threatening if I didn't have it. The best thing to do is call their office and ask questions.
My RNY was 2003 and I have lost 195lbs. gained some back due to steriods and have lost another 80 lbs again. I am down to 183lbs now. I am very happy with my progress :)
Anyone need any assistance please let me know,
