I had my RNY in January 2004, almost 13 years ago. I have regained 40 plus lbs. I recently went to get scheduled for my repeat colonoscopy which is every 5 years for me. I have had a pain under rib cage on right upper are for over a year, diagnosed in Oct. 2015 as Ulcers after a scope was done. It did not go away. So thought colonoscopy may reveal something. Insurance denied and that ended up being a good thing cause my family dr decided to order a pancreatic blood work and came back that I was 3 time higher than a normal high. Pancreatitis. I do not have my gall bladder, out in 2008. I do not drink, I am not a diabetic nor is there a history of this in my family. CT was normal, now I am spose to get an MRI to see inside the ducts and into the pancreas. Any one else have this issue??? After almost 13 years, why now??
So good to see some Ohio peeps. I'm also with Dr Siddiqui in Dayton although I live 2 hours away. Down near West Union Oh.
Just had my 6 month diet end visit, turned in all the stuff, now waiting for United Healthcare to yay or nay me.
I'm excited but tired of waiting. Now I'm trying to find some RTD protein Isolate United will pay for. They said they will pay, but the durable med product comp.'s they go through only have stuff like Ensure, Boost etc. Way too many carbs/wrong protein.
Oh well, it gives me a project to keep busy with.

I'm from Dayton also. I had RNY with Dr. Siddiqui on Monday, November 14 -- 4 weeks ago today. I'm still on the soft mushy food stage.
Love seeing so many area people. How are you-all doing on your liquids and proteins goals?

No I haven't gone to any support groups yet. I'm just under 3 months out. Might be something I would consider though. I'm south of town in Centerville.
I'm in the Dayton area, although I had my surgery in Florida. Good luck on your weight loss journey! How are you doing now?
