I am in the dayton area. I am just beginning to research WLS. I dont think I qualify, I dont have comorbidities except for mother and aunt dying of heart attacks in their 50's.

Hi, I'm in the Dayton area. What surgery are you trying to get approved for?
The Kettering Health Network has a support group the 3rd Monday night of every month. The next one is October 15th at 7-830 pm. Its an open support group so anyone can attend. I have only been to a couple groups so far but it seems to be a nice set of people. If you want more infromation on it just let me know.

Thank you very much, but they wont let people in unless they had their surgery at that hosp. I am going to Cleveland Clinic so I can't join them. Someone is checking to see if their friend is going to start a group that anyone can join. Keep your fingers crossed....

I had my surgery done at St. Josephs, the Weight Lost Center I went to is near St. Elizabeths. I know they have one every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month. It's in Youngstown.

Thank you for the info, but I can't travel that far. Was looking for something closer to home. Sounds like a good group though.
