Topic: RE: Happy Holidays
Good morning everyone. It is quite late here in Cincinnati, Ohio. Just to much on my mind.
I am concerned about all of you awaiting surgery dates, and considering it. I have 28 views of my post on 12-16, but, no responsive.
Give me some piece of mind and drop me a line at [email protected]. I am totally disabled due to 10 years of wls complications. So, I have time on my hands to talk to you on the phone, or through emails/ims.
I managed to stay away from all sweets over both Thanksgiving and Christmas meals. My favorite foods were the turkey and ham. Both my mother and mother-inlaw sent leftovers home to me and my husband. I am definitely not the cook in the family. I have 3 sister-inlaws that do that. I just cut them a check towards the expensives of the food ingriendents.
Enjoy your Monday. Happy New Year everyone.

P.S. Kathy Pettiford I received your card on Saturday. Thank you for thinking of me. As for how you can help me, is us becoming closer friends. Call me anytime day or night.

Topic: RE: Opening a Plus Size Consignment Shop
Are you going to be allowing people to sell items such as a CPAP machine?" I bought one in Feb. 2009 and have only used it 4 times. It was almost $1800.00 but I would like to get $250-$300 for it. I have tried selling it in my local resale website but after several attempts I guess no one is interested. If you don't sell items like that do you have any suggestions as to how I might find buyers for that type of merchandise?
Thanks

Topic: Child's laughter (big belly laugh)
It has been so long that we have laughed. We seemed to be in better moods when we could see the funny side of things. Well this morning my daughter crawled in bed with us she asked if it was time to get up yet. We said not yet, we just snuggled a few minuets and then she started tickling daddy then they started tickling me. It was a ticklefest. We laughed for about half an hour. I think it was the most fun we have had without anyone being upset or someone getting hurt.
What was your favorite thing that made you laugh a big belly laugh?

Topic: RE: Any informal support groups/get togethers in Columbus?
Yes Funny Flamingo -- there is a group of us who informally get together at the Polaris Mall generally on the 2nd Saturday of the month at 2pm in the Food Court area. Send me a note on this board and I'll share an email address to get you lined up for the next one.

Topic: S.T.A.M.P.E.D.E. Study at Cleveland Clinic
Is there anyone on this board that is accepted into the STAMPEDE program? I can't find anyone here on this site so far and am very curious as to the groups they were randomized to and how they are doing with it.

Topic: RE: Post RNY ??? Dumping vs. Late Dumping???
My caloric intake is suppose to be 1200 calories per day. I stayed with that for a long time. Then it was suggested that I might not be getting enough calories. Then I heard to many carbs not enough protien. I try to have two carb servings per meal and get 80-100 grams of protien per day in my diet. I added exercise at five days per week... if not going to the YMCA then at least a 1/2 hour walk on the treadmill or riding the exercise bike. I honestly think my body just got use to the exercise regime and accepted it as a normal part of my day...hence no increase in metabolisim or the should I say the caloric burn I was hoping for. The more I do the more my frustration builds. I really need a good over haul and acessment of what I'm doing wrong or if there is something mechanically wrong. I can so relate to not being the exercise crazed person that some become...but I even tried that and still no losses here. Thanks again for your post. I look forward to my testing and what I'm calling a fresh start at my Jan. 2010 appointment in Ohio :-).
