I agree about going back to basics... protein, protein, protein.  I would check with your doctor or nutritionist about how many carbs you should have per day, though, and then keep track of how many you take in.  Most doctors seem to recommendkeeping it under 100g per day (which is much higher than the 10g per meal the previous poster mentioned).  Try to limit the carbs to the good carbs... fruits, dairy, etc rather than "white" carbs.

A Dr. Lalor accepts buckeye and paramount I heard, i havent called them yet. also that its harder for Buckeye to approve you, then paramount. Thats why i switched to paramount medicaid. Both will approve you for WLS, just buckeye has more stipulations to get you approved. My insurance (Paramount advantage) told me that Dr. TImothy Duckett is contracted through then, and dr. lane. BUT DR. LANE in TOledo, is no longer practicing there he up and left. i had a surgery date for april and now he is gone. HOPE that helps! message me if you find out anything else!

A friend of mine had surgery from there, only saw the man once. She didnt get the whole RNY because of a hernia, the dr. or assisting dr. never came in and told her this, only her family. She never saw him again. When she goes in the office they weight her, say everything is fine, and send her on her way. She doesnt get asked about emotionally, what she is eating, how she is feeling. I think the follow up care is a joke, he mass produces weight loss surgeries and can't follow thru on good after care. I can say I have seen this first hand b/c i was with my friend the whole time she was at the hospital. She was vomiting after her surgery, they never called the doc to get her different medicine, for 2 days she vomited, and she just had the VSG and you cant be vomiting after stomach surgery! I couldnt believe it, her incision for her drain got infected, and she kept telling them there was something wrong and no one did anything about it. She had to share a room at the UTMC and didnt get any sleep b/c the other person had the tv on day and night. I was not impressed!
