New around here (sorta)

I checked out this site last fall when I was first considering wls. Unfortunately I found out my Insurance ****igna POS) has a wls written exemption clause and Hubby's company is no help at all. After checking out my options including legal options I fell into a terrible funk and left the site. Since then my son has been diagnosed with High Functioning Autism so that has kept my mind busy. But, I am soooo tired all the time and so sick of being in pain. I know I need to do something. Nothing has changed with my insurance, but I am back. Why, I am not sure. But I know in my heart that wls is what I need to be healthy again.

Is out of the country a possibility for you? There are some fabulous surgeons in Spain, Brazil and Mexico with wonderful facilities. All of this at a fraction of the cost

Could you tell me more about WLS out of country?? My first thought was no way, but if it is a lot less expensive and there are wonderful, safe, doctors...

Hi there: I am having my surgery: LapBand by Dr. Roberto Rumbaut. He is VERY experienced and has himself been banded!! The procedure, whi*****ludes everything but airfare (hotels, pick up at the airport, shuttle to hotel and drop off at the airport.... is $10,600. Not free but way cheaper than anywhere in the US. This surgeon is FIRSt class as is the hospital in Monterey. I am headed there on May 31 with the surgery on Jun 1 and home on June 4. I have researched this to death and I am convinced this is the man. Put his name in Google and you will find his website. I think they offer financing too. Hope this helps Nancy
