insurance and attornies

HI, I've been in the process of getting insurance authorization for the lapband (which my insurance does give approval). I've been denied twice. Has anyone sought the help of an attorney? Can you give me any guidance? Thanks so much

I have that insurance also. I had to do the 6 month supervised diet and have proof of 5 years morbidly obese. I sent every doctor record I had in. They are very strict. There are others here that have had a hard time with them. You need to follow everything they ask for. If one thing is missing they will deny you. I read your profile. You really need this surgery. I would call them up. and just ask them why not and what they want/. I Had to get nasty with them a few times. They are very rude. I could have died while waiting on my surgery. From what I have read you are a good canadate for this surgery/ You would bennift highly from this. Just dont give up. and find out what they need. Ask to talk to someone who knows. Best wishes Barb
