dr. curry ?????
i have this problem and wanted your take on my problem even though your not a internist. after i had my surgery (the RNY )my doctor had to increase my synthroid (0.175mg). i have a nurse friend who is endocrine savy and said thats a true sign that my thyroid wasn't functinoning well. on march 20th i was admitted to the hospital for an asthma exacerbation and discharge 7 days later. my TSH was 0.43 at the time i was admitted. now i know this is in the usualy range for a level. this past week i have been having periods of tachycardia upwards of 120-130. (for those not medical savy yet thats a term for fast heart beat) my lung doc took me off advair thinking it was the servent component causing the fast rate.which in fact is kinda of funny that i started with the fast heart beat before the FDA put an alert about the drug. what i want to know is do you think my synthroid could be cause of the fast heart rate. i also get lighthheaded and feel just so bad. i feel like my doctors are blowing me off. what if any thoughts can you share with me. (my current medsd are synthroid, singulair, nexium, narvasce, glucophage hctz prednisone which is 10mg today and tomorrow will be down to 5 for three days and then off. the doc gave me some xanax but it really doesn't do anything for me when my heart rate is up. one thought was since i have lost 170 pounds the dosage needed to be changed/stoppped the drug but the numbers are still not right. thanks in advance. jennifer in akron.
