A Question For Dr. C
Hi Dr. C,
Two weeks ago, I had to have my gall bladder removed and I have not felt the same since. I was kept in the hospital for an additional 4 days because they think a stone was lodged in my common bile duct. As a result, I became Jaundice and ran a fever of 103.6. I am concerned because ever since the surgery, I have had a hard time eating anything. I get really bad heartburn (something I've never had a problem with), and it feels like 90% of what I eat just sits on top of my stomach. They did numerous tests on me, including putting a scope down my throat. It was after that test that I first started noticing the heartburn. I am worried that they may have inadvertently caused some damage to my pouch. I don't know if I am just being paranoid or if I should legitimately be worried. I am sorry to bother you with this, but I know I can trust your opinion. Can you please give me some advice?
Thank you,
Julie Weitlauf
