I was on a Doctor supervised diet 2 times. The first one was for about 4 months, I took the "Xenical" for about 2 weeks....never again. Excuse my language, but you crap out the fat, its like greese you dont know when you do it either. Weigh****chers is a supervised diet have you tried that? I just got a note from my Primary Care Doctor. Stating that the surgery in her opinion was nesasary

Not all programs required a doctor supervised diet. I worked with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and they do not have such a requirement. I did, however, have to provide my history about prior attempts at weight loss, diets I've tried, how much weight I lost on those diets, etc. Also, you'll need to be able to provide medical documentation about your weight for the past 5 years (generally available from your primary care physician).
Good luck with your efforts!
